Sutton A. Shapiro, Esq. is a veteran Trial Attorney with over twelve years of experience as an attorney and eighteen years’ experience in law serving on the dedicated legal team at Wilshire Law Firm. Working from his expansive legal background, Sutton specializes in several areas of the law including personal injury law, employment law, commercial litigation, and much more. Due to his passionate desire to help innocent accident victims and their families, Sutton focuses on personal injury cases.   

Mr. Shapiro is deeply familiar with all phases of law and motion, from formulating litigation strategies and preparing cases for trial to handling complex interstate depositions and discovery. His unique legal solutions to the challenges his clients face have helped him secure many favorable settlements on his clients’ behalf. These proven results were seen recently when Sutton and Jon Teller, Esq., Partner and Trial Attorney at Wilshire Law Firm, successfully advocated for a client injured in a motorcycle accident. Despite the insurance company initially offering $40,000 in compensation, Sutton and Jon worked tirelessly to secure a verdict of nearly $14 million on the client’s behalf. This case ranked #6 in Los Angele’s PI Jury Verdicts in 2023. Sutton’s professional philosophy is to always do what is in the best interest of the client as he tries to protect clients from people who intend to harm them.   

Sutton’s dedication to excellent representation and client service has earned him significant recognition within the legal community. He has secured numerous seven-figure verdicts and settlements other than his recent eight-figure verdict, including the 35th largest jury verdict in California in 2023. Sutton is also a member of The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40. Additionally, he has been recognized as a Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars Honoree every year since 2020. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of La Verne College of Law, where he served as Treasurer of the Student Bar Association. 

Sutton’s inspiration for being a lawyer was to zealously advocate for his clients in court and speak on their behalf. However, the one thing that Sutton has learned most from his time being a lawyer is that yes, what you say is important, and how you say it is even more important, but listening is what is the most important. If you cannot be a good listener, you cannot be a good lawyer.

Mr. Shapiro is a family man who is striving to be the best husband and father he can be as he adds to his impressive legal resume spanning over seventeen years. Outside of law, Sutton enjoys sports, culinary arts, music, and travel.
