GIHNJSI Squeezy Dumplings Recall Lawsuit: Water Beads in an Amazon Toy

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced recall number 26-738 on September 3, 2026, covering about 8,000 GIHNJSI Squeezy Dumplings toys. According to the CPSC, they were sold on Amazon.com from May 2026 through June 2026 for about $20 by Xiamen Liuhui Electric Technology Co., Ltd., which does business as Chenyuanhui and is based in China, where the toys were also made. The company is reported to operate out of Xiamen, in Fujian Province.

The CPSC describes the toys as translucent round squishy balls with cartoon faces, with glitter-like particles and water beads inside. They come in a tan plastic container shaped like a bamboo steamer, and the words “SQUEEZY DUMPLINGS” and “SQUEEZE ME” are printed on a removable label. The notice adds that there are no markings on the product itself, so once the label is gone, the container and your order history may be the clearest way to confirm what you bought.

In the CPSC’s words, the toys “contain water beads. If ingested, water beads expand and can pose deadly ingestion, choking, and intestinal obstruction hazards inside a child’s body, resulting in severe discomfort, vomiting, dehydration, and a risk of death to a child.” The notice reports no incidents or injuries as of the recall date, and unlike several other recent water bead recalls, it does not say these toys violate a federal standard; it rests on the hazard itself.

Right now the investigation is looking for people who fit both of these:

• You have proof of purchase of GIHNJSI Squeezy Dumplings from a retailer, or you or your child were injured by the product.
• You are located in a Northern California county.

The CPSC tells owners to stop using the toys immediately. The remedy is a full refund: owners are asked to write “RECALLED” in permanent marker on the dumpling and on its tan plastic container, throw the toy away and email a photo of the discarded toy to the company. Before you do that:

• Save your Amazon order details or a card statement that shows the purchase.
