GIHNJSI Squeezy Dumplings Recall Lawsuit: What Parents Need to Know

On September 3, 2026, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a recall of about 8,000 GIHNJSI Squeezy Dumplings toys. According to the recall notice, the toys were sold by Xiamen Liuhui Electric Technology Co., Ltd., doing business as Chenyuanhui, a company based in China, through the retailer Amazon.com from May 2026 through June 2026 for about $20. The company is reported to operate out of Xiamen, in China’s Fujian Province.

The recalled toys are described as translucent round squishy balls with cartoon faces, containing glitter-like particles and water beads, packaged in a tan plastic container shaped like a bamboo steamer. The words “SQUEEZY DUMPLINGS” and “SQUEEZE ME” appear on a removable label.

Water beads are small, absorbent polymer beads that swell when exposed to liquid. According to the CPSC, the Squeezy Dumplings toys contain water beads, and “if ingested, water beads expand and can pose deadly ingestion, choking, and intestinal obstruction hazards inside a child’s body, resulting in severe discomfort, vomiting, dehydration, and a risk of death to a child.”

The CPSC’s notice states that no incidents or injuries had been reported in connection with the GIHNJSI Squeezy Dumplings as of the recall date. Even so, a toy that is reported to contain expanding water beads may present risks that parents were not warned about at the time of purchase, particularly when the product was marketed to be squeezed and handled by children.
